Report from LA Market Week’s Hottest Party
Orta Blu (the sustainability division of Orta –one of the largest denim manufacturers in the world) collaborated with Roark for an event last night at the Roark compound downtown to raise awareness of their humanitarian global initiatives and to celebrate LA Market Week.
Brooklyn blues‐rock band She Keeps Bees were flown in especially for a live performance and were so well received by the Angeleno crowd that they appeared again later for a second performance.
Fashion’s favorite DJ AJ English and the renowned Chris Holmes set the tone with an eclectic mix of tunes that filled the dance floor. Holmes, whom had recently put his back out and not very mobile, still managed to make an appearance and played a phenomenal set, which left everyone wanting more.
Notable industry attendees included: Adriano Goldschmied, Them Atelier and
Henry Duarte.
Veev and Silver Tequila served specialty cocktails and a variety of canapés were
served for hungry.
The Orta Blu event was the talk of the town last night and they have already been invited back to do further events.
